The Tag Rows By Column Value command highlights specific rows that are identified by a relationship between the selected column and the value that you enter.
In addition to entering your own values you can also select the following items from the value dropdown:

In addition to entering your own values you can also select the following items from the value dropdown:
- Value In Previous Row. This refers to the value of the selected column in the preceeding row. This feature can be used to tag the first row of a group of rows that share the same value.
- Any Numeric Value. If the column value is a number then the row will be tagged.
- Any Text Value. If the column value contains any text then the row will be tagged.
- Blank. If the column value is blank or empty, then the row will be tagged.

- Open ActiveData's Sample Workbook
- Select the Invoices Sheet
- Select Tag Rows By Column Value from the ActiveData Menu
- Select Any Column as the column to test
- Select Contains as the condition
- Select ActiveData as the value
- Click Finished
